Covenant of Care
Grace Presbyterian Church is committed to providing a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for everyone — especially children, youth, vulnerable adults, and the staff and volunteers who serve them.
Our Covenant of Care affirms this commitment and ensures that all ministries at Grace follow the Leading with Care Policy of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
“The church is Christ, together with his people, called both to worship and to serve him in all of life.”
(Living Faith: A Statement of Christian Faith, The Presbyterian Church in Canada, 1984, section 7.1.1)
Through this covenant, we commit to providing ministry that reflects respect, accountability, and love in all we do. Each volunteer and staff member is called to model these values as we serve Christ together in community.
About the Leading with Care Policy
Leading with Care is the national policy of The Presbyterian Church in Canada designed to create safe, respectful, and nurturing spaces for all people in our churches, camps, and ministries.
This policy reminds us that care and safety are not just individual responsibilities — they are shared commitments as the body of Christ, called to offer our best to God in worship and service while protecting one another from harm.
All staff and volunteers, whether paid or unpaid, are expected to understand and support this policy in their ministry at Grace.
