Session Highlights

At its regular meeting on September 8, the Session:
• opened with worship, reflecting on 1 Timothy 1:12-17 and how this text might call us to volunteering and being of service
• welcomed Andrew Manuel, Grace’s Communications Specialist, who reported stronger community engagement for major events over the last year plus increasing social media presence and reach with the livestreaming of worship. He also shared an overview of communications objectives for the next year and beyond, building on the momentum of the last year
• discussed trends in Grace’s contributions to Presbyterians Sharing and the ministries of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, with further consideration planned in advance of preparing the 2026 budget
• approved updates to the Roll of Professing Members and the list of Adherents and was reminded of the commitment to Christ and the Church expected of faithful membership
• affirmed the schedule and process for electing new elders by spring 2026
• received reports from committees and updates from the ministers and staff, as well as correspondence
• closed with prayer and benediction.
