Session Highlights

At its regular meeting on May 11, 2026 the Session:

• opened with worship, reflected on Luke 22:44-53, and identified signs of spiritual growth as well as growing edges for the congregation
• welcomed Rob McDonald, the Treasurer, who provided the unaudited Financial Statements for 2025 which will be presented for approval at the June 7 congregational meeting
• approved revised Terms of Reference for the Finance Committee, which emphasize the focus on compliance with regulatory and other financial standards, integrity of reporting and sound policies
• reviewed the March 2026 Year to Date financial results
• acknowledged Bob Ermter's resignation from the Finance Committee and gave thanks for his service
• discussed the extensive work of the Pastoral Care & Connection Committee: overseeing congregational lunches, the ministry of Deacons, lunch and learn workshops, sanctuary flowers, Grace Bethany, the Quilters, in addition to the elder districts. All new members have been assigned an elder so that pastoral connections can begin
• approved updates to the list of Adherents and identified follow-up with a number of Members who seem to be disconnected from the life at Grace
• approved the baptisms of two children, and
• closed with reflection and a benediction.
