It’s All Greek to Me
A Biblical Greek Crash Course
Dates: Sundays, May 24 - June 14, 2026
Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Location: Grace Board Room
Capacity: Limited to 24 participants
What if the words of Scripture carried more than what you see on the page?
What if familiar passages held layers of meaning—subtle, precise, and often lost in translation?
Beginning Saturday, May 24, 2026, and continuing over four Saturdays, you’re invited into a focused and engaging introduction to Biblical Greek. This course is designed not to make you an expert, but to help you become a more attentive and perceptive reader of Scripture.
Together, we’ll begin to see how meaning is shaped by grammar, vocabulary, and structure—opening up new depth in passages you may have read many times before. You’ll gain practical tools and insights that sharpen interpretation and deepen theological understanding.
This course will be led by Alessa Polito, a PhD student in Religious Studies and co-author of an upcoming work on the Greek New Testament.
In this course, you will:
• Read key passages with greater depth and precision
• Recognize where translation simplifies or obscures meaning
• Gain working familiarity with tools like interlinears and commentaries
• Develop a more attentive, disciplined approach to Scripture
No prior experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to engage.
